How to Upload to YouTube Video & Attach video to Blog

This video teaches you how to condense the file size of your video, upload to YouTube and attach it to your blog.

So, when you have your video on YouTube you must attach it to your blog AS A VIDEO and not as a link.
Click on the Clapperboard Icon
Click From YouTube

(Please bare in mind, your video may take a couple of hours before it appears on this search engine)

Podcasting

How do I podcast?
Well it's EASY!

Simply create a still graphic that simply states your year, what the name of your film is, your name and then the words PODCAST EVALUATION. This type of graphic can easily be made in photoshop as as Widescreen image or within Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro. There is even this template you can use on the Year 13 student gateway!!!

Then bring your audio into an edit package, add this still on the video layer and put the audio on the audio layer (you may need to extend the image so it encompasses all of your audio) and then export it as a piece of video and add it to YouTube the usual way. You can then add this to your blog using the "Insert a Video" tab.
Each of you need to add this to your blog!
EASY!

Complete an analysis of any five thriller movie posters. Use the analysis handout to help you, this can be found on the student gateway in the year 13 folder - it's called

You should also evaluate how the posters appeal to the TARGET AUDIENCE, this would be the appropriate place to discuss the TARGET AUDIENCE of your movie, who it is, on what do you base this?

Year 13 - BLOG TASK 11

From today’s lesson you should have created a set of new characters, on the blog, develop this character by:
1) Posting images of characters from real media texts who are similar.
2) Linking these characters to the theorists you have studied.
Make sure you note down on the blog ALL the ‘technology’
Once your plot has been developed, you should attempt to start linking this narrative to theorists you have studied in Year 12 & 13.

Year 13 - BLOG TASK 10

PRELIMINARY TASK - Evaluation
Write a short essay answering the following questions - this should be on your blog.

How effective is the combination of your main product and your film poster?
What have you learned from your audience feedback?
What have you learned during the course of this project and what targets for improvement do you need to set for the main task?

Year 13 - BLOG TASK 9

You must upload your finished poster for your preliminary task.

Tell us how you created it and how you have represented your movie in it.

Year 13 - BLOG TASK 8

BLOG TASK 8
You should write your script for your production now. When writing it, consider all the points below, then:

i) Post your script on the blog
ii) Write a short two line answer to each question below.

Representation:
  • What is being represented?
  • How is it represented? Using what codes? Within what genre?
  • How is the representation made to seem 'true', 'commonsense' or 'natural'?
  • What is foregrounded and what is backgrounded? Are there any notable absences?
  • Whose representation is it? Whose interests does it reflect? How do you know?
  • At whom is this representation targeted? How do you know?
  • What does the representation mean to you? What does the representation mean to others? How do you account for the differences?
  • How do people make sense of it? According to what codes?
  • With what alternative representations could it be compared? How does it differ?
  • A reflexive consideration - Why is the concept of representation problematic?

Year 13 - BLOG TASK 7

You should now link your character to a theory - which one best suits and then write why you think this is the case.
Then, start constructing your plot for the preliminary task ask yourself:
1) Where is your character?
2) Why is he/she there?
3) What mood is he/she in?
4) Do they have any prop's?
You should try and think of more questions, these are to get you started.
